Pastor sets church member on fire, claims he was instructed by God

 

A member of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Unity Street in Abule-Egba, Lagos, was set ablaze by her prophet during yesterday service.


According to the vicitim, Mama Abosede, the prophet claimed that the Holy Spirit said to him that she would not burn if he sets her on fire. Unfortunately she did burn immediately she was set ablaze. Before the other church members could get water, she had been burnt beyond recognition

On the other hand, the prophet, maintained that he clearly heard a voice instructing him to set his member on fire to prove and confirm that God was in their midst.

“I heard the voice clearly, but I don’t know what happened after we set fire on her. God has been speaking to me since and it has been working, so I wonder why now,” he said.

A few church members have decided to leave the church after the incident for fear of being the prophet’s next victim.
