ABOMINATION: Man Rapes, Impregnates 13-year-Old Step Daughter

 

A mother of a 13-year-old girl,  Mrs Bunmi Joshua, has accused her husband, Femi Orojo, of  allegedly raping and impregnating his step-daughter, Odunayo.


Mrs Joshua said the incident occurred at Okitipupa town in Okitipupa Local Government Area of  Ondo state five months ago.
She said her husband had taken to his heels immediately after confessing to the crime.
Mrs Joshua, who said she married the suspect six years ago, said she discovered that Odunayo was five  months pregnant following her incessant sickness in the recent times.

According to her, “it was one of my neighbours who called my attention to it recently that my  girl was pregnant and anytime time I asked her about who was responsible for the pregnancy, she  would be crying that if she said it she would die. I then took her to my pastor and after much  pressure, she confessed that it was my husband.

“She told my pastor that when I was not around my husband entered into her room with a machete  and threatened to kill if she did not allow him to sleep with her.
“After forcing her to have sex with him , my child said he brought out a red handkerchief and  warned not to tell anybody or else she would die. That is why she did not tell anyone “.

Confirming the incident when contacted, the Public Relations Officer of the state police  command, Mr. Femi Joseph said the police had started investigation on the matter .
The PPRO  said  the suspect was yet to be arrested and had been on the wanted list of the  command.
