Jealousy Housewife in prison for pouring hot water on husband's mistress

 

A Lagos State based housewife, Titilola Obanla, has been remanded in prison for pouring hot water on a 28-year-old woman, Kemi Adisa, for allegedly dating her husband, PM News reports.

Obanla was arrested by policemen attached to the Alakuko Divisional Headquarters following the incident that took place at their residence at No. 10, Oluwaseyi Street, Abule Tutun, Alakuko, a suburb of the state, while the victim is currently receiving treatment at the Oke-Odo General Hospital.

from her hospital bed, Adisa, a mother of three, said:

“On the day of the incident, she (Obanla) called me and told me that she wanted to tell me something in Iya Wunmi, my friend’s room, so I followed her and on getting there I sat on the chair while she stood by the door.

She then accused Iya Wunmi of acting as a middle man between her husband and I. She accused me of dating him, saying I was his girlfriend.

But Iya Wunmi defended me, telling her that her husband plays with both of us and that I was not his girlfriend but before I knew it, she called her younger sister to bring the hot water she put on the fire.

I thought she was joking, when the sister brought the water but before I could act, she poured the hot water on me. Luckily for me, I turned my face away and she poured it on my body.” 

The case is now in court this was made known by the State Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), Dolapo Badmus
