Parents Charged Over Death Of Eight-Month-Old Son
A couple have been charged over the death of an eight-month-old baby boy, Greater Manchester Police have said.
They were arrested after the child was rushed to hospital on Tuesday morning from the family home in Rochdale with multiple injuries.
He died on Thursday.
Police said the man, who is 25, has been charged with murder.
The 24-year-old woman is accused of causing or allowing the death of a child.
Both have been remanded in custody to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court on Saturday.
Detective Chief Inspector Jamie Daniels said: "This is a deeply distressing investigation involving a small child.
"Our thoughts at this time are with the family, friends and all others within the local community who may be affected by this incident."
Anyone with information about what happened is asked to call police on 101.
